Il Gulf of the Island, with its crystal clear waters and breathtaking landscapes, is an ideal destination for sports lovers. And right here, in the waters of theBergeggi Island Marine Protected Area, it took place Swimtheisland, the open water swimming event that attracted over 2500 participants. An event that also had the honor of hosting the Olympic champion Geneva Taddeucci, fresh from the bronze in Paris. The meeting between the champion and the Golfo dell'Isola was immortalised by the cameras of Studio Aperto Mag in a report broadcast last November 4th (click here to see it again).
Ginevra Taddeucci at Swimtheisland
Ginevra Taddeucci participated in Swimtheisland together with 2500 other swimmers. For two days, the athletes swam in the Marine Protected Area of Bergeggi Island, with its iconic profile also serving as a backdrop to the television report. Swimtheisland, thanks also to the presence of professionals such as Ginevra Taddeucci and Matteo Furlan, former Italian champion and historic friend of the Ligurian event, confirms itself as the most popular open water swimming event in our country. A success also confirmed by the number of participants, which places it in first place in Italy and among the first five in Europe.
